FIELD ENGINEERING AT SAN
FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

As part of the Energy Management Control System Design Build project at the San Francisco International Airport (SFIA), PGI conducted field engineering to identify optimal locations for energy (BTU) meters on the primary, secondary and tertiary chilled and hot water loops.

The scope included review of as-built drawings, validating field conditions and identifying optimal locations for flowmeter installation. The project involved high level of coordination and scheduling with the SFO Mechanical Maintenance teams and other stakeholders. PGI also supported the team leading similar field investigation on the Electric, Natural Gas and Water meters. The project was completed on time and on budgeted, and was very well received.

PGI continues to stay engaged on the EMCS project and is currently supporting the commissioning phase.
